Can't forget The Who, they defined influential music in the 60's. Really though, all the most recognizable bands of the 1960's were most influential of our time, simply because it was such a revolutionary time with massive cultural and social changes which the music obviously reflected. 60's was epic.

I'd say that it's either The Beatles or Led Zep

As is often the case, the first post in a thread nails it.

I'll add, that, by far, the most influential rock singer is the great Paul Rodgers.

This pic was taken immediately after a Bad Company show. No one else could turn Jimmy Page into a dorky fan doing a thumbs-up pose.

Great post man :) And here's some Paul "The Voice" Rodgers for y'all, but you have to be sure to really crank up the volume when you listen to this song to get it's full effect 8)

Among Rock music I would say that without a doubt it is The Beatles.  Otherwise I am partial to the Glen Miller Orchestra, Count Basie and his big band or perhaps Duke Ellington and his group.

But for a band that has the greatest influence on pop culture in the last 50 or so years it is without a doubt the one composed of John, Paul, George and Ringo...   The Beatles.

True dat! My fav Beatles album is Abbey Road, which was kinda dominated by Paul and George. George with "Something" and "Here Comes The Sun" and Paul was basically the "solo artist" on side two. And speaking of Stevie Wonder, his album "Innervisions" was revolutionary 8)

Abbey Road was awesome and George's "something" and "here comes the sun" are two of the greatest songs of all time..just simple and good

They look happy and healthy, and made a lot of people happy with their music.
