Chuckle.....well it seems as though you've been poking around in meh Facebook again which I've taken care of.  But the cats are a pretty funny story.

About 3 years ago, I'm driving from the store around 1am in the morning and I heard some noises coming from the front of the car.  When I got back, I opened up the hood to see what it was and this cat jumps out at me and scratches the shit out of me.  Apparantly, some drunken redneck thought it was funny to put a cat into the hood of my car (I'm thinking it was at the gas station).

Anyway, the cat was pretty dirty and sick from the traveling experience so I nursed it back to health and took it to the vet to have it examined.  Come to find out the damn cat was also pregnant.  So a few months later, it spits out 5 kittens.  So counting the the 2 orange tabby cats and the black cat we already had, there was a total of 9 cats in the house.  Food bill was pretty freaking high and putting out a tupperware container like the one you see was the best solution

Once they grew large enough, we gave all the kittens away with the exception of the cat that was in the engine hood which ran away.  They are now in pretty nice homes.  Nothing personal, but I don't like taking abandoned animals to the pound where they can just be killed the same day.  Its only morally and ethically right to take care of pets and make sure they go to a proper home

Currently, I just have the 2 orange cats.  The black one died but it was old as fuck.  Did get a full blood Chinese Pug though last year and its runs pretty wild.

Hope you enjoyed the story but just to let you know, its not nice to post pictures of other people's friends and family from Facebook.  Only a complete asshole does something like that.

I wanted to start making fun of you until I read this.  That's a really cool thing to do man.  Props

I agree with this a little.  I think animals and kids are off limits, no?

Cats (and other animals) will often get under the hood of a car for heat.

It's possible someone played a joke on you, but if it was cold out at the time, that's probably what happened. Just looking to warm up a little and then you drove off.

This brings up a story of mine. When I was a young man in college I was a part-time mechanic working in a Mercedes Benz dealership. The first day on the job I was tasked with an underhood noise on a beautiful W108. The noise was the carcass of a cat being whipped against the radiator by the metal fan. That was the only time I've ever owned a cat, and I hope it stays that way.

I agree Will.

Personally, I don't pay much attention to Vince's posts. None the less, I don't agree with posting pics of his boyfriend, house or what have you.

Sorry this happend and think the thread should be deleted

I`m looking for a W116 6.9 at the moment.

I REALLY love the look of it.  Very elegant.  I`d also take a 600 Pullman any day of the week.  8)

Personally I prefer having exotic fish in a tank.   They swim around, make the place look sophisticated, and require nothing more than some food flakes and general cleaning.  They don't make noise

I agree, an exotic fish tank definitely makes the trailer look sophisticated.

Also, I call bs on the whole story, no way do you own a car.

I have 2 cars currently and the fish tank was for my apartment in Greenville.  Gave that all to a friend when I moved.

The W116 and W100 were some of the finest automobiles ever produced. I drove a 1978 W116 turbo diesel for many years and have yet to have a car to match it's reliability and comfort.

If you have any questions regarding them, let me know brother.

W126 Diesel is the best car ever built.  Mercedes should have just produced that thing until the end of time.  I have yet to hear of a better car as far as reliability and longevity goes.  I knew someone who sold a Rolls-Royce to get back into a W126 after years apart from one.

Where are you located?  PM me if you don`t want to say on here.

The W126 diesel was fantastic, there was a small problem with the trap oxidizing catalysts for a year or two but most have been repaired by now. I believe that the W123 is the standard all automobiles should be judged by. One would never NEED more car and one should never settle for less car than the W123.

Americans value torque and reliability, many get that with turbo diesel cars and pickups.

The highest mileage I've seen on a diesel Mercedes was over 600K, a W123 wagon (the load leveling still worked!). The nicest high mileage car I've seen was a W140 TD with around 450,000. It was immaculate and had a very fastidious owner.
