i think "whats the point" should be a dedicated thread of things we do (well not you as you are above human nature) that might not make sense
I mean just facebook alone can have 10 + questions as to why people do things there
same with twitter
youtube
and a trillion other things
not everything we do must make sense
everything has a sense or purpose. But our capacity to find it varies from an individual to another. The more mature you are the more you re able to understand what is behind everything, and act...or not.
The problem is when the purpose , consequence of what we re doing is actually negative for our well being. When it seems positive at the moment, but is in fact negative in the long term. Seems cool to pleasure yourself with the view of good looking women, but in the long term it deeply alterates your psyche and the way you see/interact with women in real life. Watching things you cant obtain basically increase your daily frustration subconciously. When you re not exposed to these things your frustration decreases.
We re conditionned to want things, we cannot reastically get. We cannot seduce/date and fuck the models we see in these pics so often. Even if we could be in their presence in real life, we couldnt manage to fuck them all. There s a big difference between the fantasm and reality, real life realtionships with humans when we re facing them. These new kind of super conditionnings that are constant and are intended to sell material goods in the first place alterate our well being and our psyche. The more you re exposed the more it is alterated and you are...frustrated. We re not designed to want /obtain so many things. This is the problem. Our brain, senses, are not designed to be saturated with such constant and frustrating conditionnings. Also the way constant advertising /teasing clearely make us consider human beings as material goods is truly scary.
The "i d like to (fuck)" is just that, a WISH (impulse, need). Which is 99,99999999% of the time not fulfilled for most. Why re igniting this impulse by posting pictures, images, that will strike our brain and ultimately provoke an impulse that will make us frustrated? I'm not saying (having) sex is bad, i'm saying constantly being aroused sexually is indeed a major source of frustration that at the end of the day make us feel uncomfortable / and could be avoided.
Sex is good when practised with blance and regularity and when no performance is required, and when attachment with the partner is underlying the relationship. But constant arousal in ads, and consuming porn daily are in the long term dangerous to one's sexual life.
