That's not dubstep. I hate to label things but this is rather progressive DnB or whatever you want to call it.

Never heard of that style. Though not my taste it's innovative stuff which is good. I don't think a new progressive era will arise, just like the punk scene once was.

look at this chart of the top touring bands.

aside from bieber and gaga, seems like most bands have been around for a long time (some for 50 years, lulz)

http://www.pollstarpro.com/files/Charts2010/2010YearEndTop50WorldwideConcertTours.pdf

so looks like the "new" genres have yet to grow out of their "shitty noise" status .

Sure, all American country boy  ::)
Not much wrong with country, but most people outside the U.S. laugh about those singing fake cowboys / dudettes ;D

actually, alt country and classic country are huge in parts of europe.  Bands like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams, etc have huge followings in places like belgium, france....

That's actually the country stuff I like, a bit singer/songwriter like. From time to time I hear artists like that on Skippy FM

That's a bit on the extreme side of things.....I can appreciate the skill that goes into making that but its not something I would ever listen to. Kind of like those guys that only listen to those speed - freak guitarists that play a billion notes a second but have no musical sensibilities at all.

It's a genre that makes fun of every music genre, , the complexity is high and everything goes, so i like it in that aspects.

Maybe for some people too extreme but i would consider it real music, because people can do anything they like in it.

That music is terrible, just a mess.

Whatever, go enjoy your armin van buren and dubstep tiesto circle jerk, and i will enjoy real music.

Tiësto raped that Sarah McLachlan song, but not on a good way. He's way overrated with his simplistic Euro-trance
