"All drugs" - What does this mean?
« on: May 11, 2011, 10:26:57 AM »
an all drugs physique is there ever was one.

We have all seen this kind of post many times.  What the hell does it mean? ???  Are there any pros physiques winning titles that are not all drugs?  Mike Morris, Tom Price, Craig Titus, Wheeler, even Doz Yates looks like a mere mortal when not "on."  Whose physique is not "all drugs"?  There posters who say this always end up looking worse than the bodybuilder they are ostensibly criticizing.

a guy who's whole look is entirely dependant on the drug they take is an all drugs guy.

burnieka, for example, is an all drugs guy due to the massive amounts of tren (and other hardeners) he's running and the look it gives him.

all drugs guy doesnt necessarily mean how big they are, or how much they took to get that big, since everyone has their feet in the pool- its what they take to achieve that 'look' that makes them an 'all drugs' guy.

muntzer is another classic example of an 'all drugs' guy.

i'd say shawn ray has a good base.  his brother isn't a user, and a pretty thick guy naturally.  unfortunately, a guy like alex23  ::) if he was a pro and came off, years later he'd still be thick.

i think prince and flex, esp, were ectomorphs before the drugs and just reverted back.

all based on body types.  shawn was already a meso before he met john brown.

The example of Tom Prince is not a good one, because the damage to his kidneys and the medical treatment he went through made him lose a lot more muscle than just going off the steroids would have made him lose. If he had no damage to his organs and went off the steroids, he would probably weight a relatively lean 220 lbs. The muscle you have left after you go off steroids is the result of years of working out. Just training as heavy as these guys do for 10 to 15 years straight gives you over 40 lbs of muscle more than the average man. They are not all drugs, although they wouldn't be as big as they are and as ripped onstage without drugs. You cannot maintain that huge amount of muscle whilst dieting to 3% bodyfat without drugs. It is impossible.

Who IS NOT all drugs then? Everyones look is dependant on the drugs... I always thought it meant someone who doesn't work that hard but has tremendous response to hormones and relies on that. Ronnie wouldn't have looked the way he did without trenbolona... does that mean you'd say he's all drugs?

correct, Ray has great genes, and with a pro like Brown guiding him from day 1, it didnt hurt!

Shawn Ray was not all drugs

What tier was Tom Prince? No homo but my guess would be tier 1.

definitely

however, some are all drugs, others as the OP said, have a foundation, plus, I believe guys like yates, gaspari, platz, ray, haney, labrada, etc had a work-ethic that was on another level whilst competing

off the sauce, theyre obviously only human
