If they're preaching &/or trying to convert you, then just cut them in the middle of a sentence and say you're hungry and that you're gonna eat some steak.

vegans and vegetarians make my blood boil. bad enough that you live that lifestyle in the first place but if you criticise me eating the diet millions of years has tuned us to, telling me it's unethical, unhealthy and just plain wrong, i think i'm within rights to spill your blood.
