and sure, things like over-population and deforestation are problems but they are FAR from incorrectable.  the scientific community is about 50/50 on whether man-made global warming is even real and the evidence in the last ten years has been pointing towards man not even being a factor.  that being said the US is one of the cleanest countries in the world in regards to emissions and constantly getting better and more efficient so dont lump us in with countries with no regard.  and ill go even further and say the only reason we can be that way is because we are as prosperous and 'rich' as we are.

 I lived on 2 farms. Lived in houses with almost the whole backyard gardened, also done a lot of indoor gardening.

 And also, I do 100% agree with you about overpopulation. I think we are gonna see a lot of death in this century. This Earth can only sustainably carry about a billion people, probably more like 700 million. 8 billion people is very unsustainable.

 Well. If those people were provided with affordable condoms and birth control then that would help a lot for sure. A lot of those kids are born because these people simply cannot afford contraception.

 Condoms and birth control are expensive for somebody who makes dollars per day. They simply can't afford them.

 A lot of these people are uneducated too, and they don't really understand the world situation.

 But these are side effects of capitalism and industrialization. There's an underbelly of people who are dirt poor and uneducated. It's not their fault. They were born into a really terrible situation and it is extremely difficult to work out of that.

 I do think that lots of the poor people in this world have their issues. But I don't think it's really thier fault usually. They were just born into the shits. What do you expect them to become?

 I'm 31 years old actually. I moved around a lot as a kid and teenager. Before I was even 18 years old I lived in 4 different states.

 I've never lived in one city for more than 3 years. Sometimes I get a travel bug and i'll move from place to place every 6 months or so. For the past 6 years especially i've been on the move a lot. 6 months- 1 year in a place and then I move along.

 But ready to settle down now.

 I saw some of "the shadows" posts and he makes all kinds of shit typos and his writing style is really different than mine. I don;t see how you could confuse the two of us.

as for places like here, sure we have people considered 'poor' but poor in this country is rich to people in the phillipenes.  poor people in the US make stupid decisions, many regularly do drugs, most are and plan to stay on gov't assistance of some sort even though there are entry level positions almost everywhere including the goddamn neighborhoods they live in.  i know, i fucking work there.  seriously, the 'poor' people in the US are the bottom of the barrel.  in a place where it's so easy just to stay on your feet they really dont have any excuse.  i see them every day.  they are usually sitting/lounging on their 'stoop' smoking newports and drinking colt 45.  the only place they need to go is the convenience store on the corner.  great people.  great americans.  spend their whole fucking day standing on the side of the street.

Easier to hate them and see them as subhuman, and not feel any empathy. Easier to turn cold, than to feel the pain of their hardships.
