That's why you drink the water too if you want those nutrients. Lots of minerals are in there.

Boiling it i the only way i've found that makes it taste really good and come out tender.

How else would you cook brocolli? Fry it, bake it? All that will make it taste nasty.

Recommendations seem to suggest lightly frying it but since I eat ghetto frozen broccoli I tend to microwave it...tastes awful though.

I have one but it just sits there unplugged. Never use it.

Just seems strange and unnatural to me.

It's just as easy to oil up a pan and cook it on the burner.
