You know what is funny? Is that people were originally pissed off at the sound of the Aventador...because it has a bypass valve in the exhaust...below a certain rpm, it sounds "limp"....so when a vid came out of it at a car show and it was a cold start, people were like, "WTF?". Now people are like "WTF!"

Excellent---but that is more a 458 Italia, Gallardo competitor. The Aventador sits on the Big Daddy rung of supercars...and it will spawn various diff higher performance models, just like the Murci did before it.
What is truly interesting about the Aventador, is that Lambo, Bugatti, Porsche, Audi, are all under the VW group, which means that Bugatti is put as top priority and none shall surpass it---yet Porsche has been assigned to take over the sports car/super car development within the VW group...so, if they can't design a car to take out Bugatti (top speed, accelleration), what does this say about Lambo?

The Maclaren---this MP4-12C is only the beginning, they have another car in the works to best Bugatti's Veyron in terms of accelleration...

I'm not a vintage Guy at all. I'll take a2011 Dodge Challenger over a '70 big block Challenger any day of the week. Speaking strctly as to which car I like better. The '70 obviously is a better investment.

Currently the cars that Ferrari produces that make more hp than the Aventador are non road legal---the 599XX and FXX, both are rolling test beds for Ferrars of the future. Going from what has been rumored, the next Enzo will have 900 hp and weigh 2,200 pounds, therefore obliterating basically any other road car...this car is supposed to be unveil probably in Jan 2012...but that is rumored

And then Porsche will counter with an 1100 bhp monster....its high stakes one-upmanship at that level. Would be nice to be super rich just to beat the the piss out of cars like that on a daily basis  8)

Its not just about value, its about the feeling it gives you when your slamming the pedal down without a f@ck given about anything else. Personally I prefer the rugged brute experience of vintage muscle, and smell of a carburated big block on high test roaring under the hood as opposed to the quiet controlled  power of say a new Challenger or SS Camaro. Personal preferences are different though I understand.

I drove a 69 camaro SS with a 750 HP NASCAR motor in it built by Smokey Eunich .....the car would light them up at 70 MPH if you stomped on the gas and smush you into the drivers seat with such force it was mind blowing ....that was an experience I'll never forget
