I had the curve before the one you had (8800 maybe)?  it was the small, girly one, but up to that point i had 2 nextels (yes, the big clunky ones) and then my first "smart-ish" phone was that flip keyboard one with robots...forget the name, but they used to say "don't call it a phone".  then i got the 8800, and now i have a bold like you.

i drop phones / hit things with phones constantly, and sadly the sturdiness of the phone is a big feature for me.  i have the bold now, and this thing is rock solid compared to how flimsy an iphone is.

plus i don't look like i suck cocks everywhere by holding my big iphone to show the world.

i'll stick to blackberry for now.  the only other option might be something android related in teh future, but i doubt it.

Awesome thread brother ACH. The quest for solid functionality was quite a ride back then. I held to Windows mobile for as long as I could

Alex, I too tried to hold on to windows mobile for as long as I could, but alas, it just couldn't cut it.

Great move on the xoom by the way, thats my next tablet. Right now I'm sporting an Archos 70 running android 2.3, I love it but i think 7 inches is just not big enough for BIG ACH! LOL

I'm biased towards the blackberry bold personally, depends what you're into.

Yes.

I've started with the Curve, Storm (ugh) and now the Droid X which is phenomenal (and will only get better if we could get f'ng Ginerbread already).  But, the iPhone is a phenomenal device, and I think you'll enjoy it much more than a Blackberry.

Dropped the 8830 for droid, and won't look back at Blackberry.  I do miss the keyboard though.

Archos is kool brother but the xoom literally changed my computing life. I love that thing; i would make love to it if it was just a little thicker (i have a type)...

Tip to get 200$ rebate on the xoom;  go to verizon; bitch a little, treat to switch to ATT, you'll get almost immediately.

if not, bitch about your current carrier and suggest you switch friend of mine got it as well.

iphone 4
samsung captivate
iphone 4

ios is the smoothest, most responsive gui. period, well until recently tho.
 my bro just got a LG gx2, and that phone is iphone smooth and responsive. very temped to switch to t-mobile for that phone. it is thick as a 3gs tho.
