Kill yourself or die slowly from disease?

 Some of us die suddenly in an amazing way, like the great Macho Man.

 But some of us are destined to die a slow and miserable death of disease.

 Personally, if I found out I had some terminal illness and was getting close to death, i'd go out like a champ and end it by my own hand. I think that's a more honorable and dignified way to go than to slowly be taken by a disease.

 What about you? Would you die slowly or just end it yourself?

 I will do it in a great ritual in the forest, in a beautiful place. Maybe jump off a cliff and blow my head off in mid-fall, let my body drop in a place where nobody will ever find it, just disapear into the wilderness....

 Why would you want to end it in some hospital room? That a shitty place to be in your final moments.

I wouldn't, I'm just saying it is available. And when we are old and weary our reasoning might be that of a humble and more lenient man who don't want to make a big scene about things.

 Seems like doing in it a hosptal with dozens of people there would really be a big scene.

 Wandering into the woods alone and doing it by yourself is the most discreet way. Leave a note to everybody you know telling them not to look for the body and that you are in your final resting place in the woods.

 Just a simple bullet to the head will work if you wanna be simple and quick about it.

you have to remember when you are dying of a terminal disease they give you drugs that make you feel good while your dying, so you don't feel like total shit even though your body is going to total shit.

I really wonder if i'll have time in my life where i'll certainly be able to say "fuck, i'm dead in a second." To actually experience the real idea that I'm about to be among the dead. Never to be seen again. Ever. The thought of you will go on in a few human beings. Then they'll die and you'll have never been. It really makes you wonder why anything is ever done in this universe. It's all going to end up something that never was. We may as well be gone right now, because in time death is all we're guaranteed in the universe. Consistent as gravity... we're dead. It's a matter of time. We'll be dead either way, so it really doesn't matter at all.

Because of my family situation I would live as long as possible for my children and hide the pain as best as possible, but if i was single I would go out on my own merits as soon as my quality of life dropped beyond a point i was happy with, i wouild also consider ending it if my life became too much of a burden on them and my wife where i thought the negatives outweigh the positives from their point of view, not my own.

 Yes, I think the main reason why lots of people don't kill themself is because they are afraid suicide will look disgraceful to them.

 I totally disagree with that though. I think that it's your life and you should be free to end it anytime.

 If you end it over some petty emo bullshit then that's pretty lame. But if it's the end for you anyway, I see nothing wrong with it at all.
