Roman Chair Sit-Ups Have Vanished
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:51:12 AM »
The development of "washboard abs" is an art that has vanished from today's bodybuilding.  It has been replaced with the steroid enhanced "big 'n sloppy" look.  Steroid ingestion is obviously one reason why todays "garbage pails" can't see their pricks without a mirror.  The other reason is the disappearance of the Roman Chair.  In the days when bodybuilders looked like men and not sea-lions, guys would do hundreds of reps per day of Roman Chair Sit-Ups.  Throw in hundreds of straight legged Leg-Raises, and you had washboard abs.  Today's "personal trainer" wimps talk a good game ab our "core" training, yet couldn't make three reps in the Roman Chair.  Charlie Atlas-who I knew as Angelo- could do 500 Roman Chaor Sit-Ups like breaking sticks.  He had one of the best washboard midsections of his day.  And the broads loved him for it.  He could screw all night.

Training has advanced since then.  How your abs look have much more to do with genetics and diet than training. I don't think any of the people I see doing Roman Chair sit-ups at my gym have visible abs.
Come get me.

Roman Chairs both spot reduce, trim the waist line and build a washboard stomach.
