I think he's upset that you actually know genuine celebrities while all he can say is that  he knows nasser. Nasser is only a legend in his  own mind. These days if you mention nasser in a bodybuilding forum people laugh and ask "isn't that the bitter bodybuilder who sells his underwear online"?

We traveled for a couple of weeks. Some event stuff (cornering Dave for his fight) in Wisconsin and some vacation just hanging out gambling, drinking and relaxing. His fight is this weekend against Matt Hamil.

what's worse than a mma person is a fan of a mma person, coach your a mma schmoe, mma had it's 1 year of glory and it's dead.  it obviously takes no talent and anyone can lose anytime unlike boxing which is more skill.  Why do you huddle around the men like they are super stars?  No one knows them except the mma obsessed people which are usually 15 - 23 yr old white kids.

Yes indeed Nasser is a much greater level of celebrity than his jealous ones convince themselves of.  There were guys at my wedding who do not even work out or don't look like they work out who were like, "whoa is that Nasser?!" when his pic came up on the slideshow!  Another one of my friends who does not work out either was in San Diego a few weeks ago on business and, knowing of my friendship with Nasser, texted me asking if I can arrange for him to meet the Wizard himself.  Unfotunately I didn't get the text until too late but the point is many common folk do know of Nasser.

I honestly did not know who Rampage was until I read this thread.

It's not even close. Nasser is a LOT more famous than Rampage Jackson. Nobody watched the A-team movie with Brad Cooper, whereas Countdown to Olympia 97 set box office records in the Summer of 98. It was a travesty if was "over looked" come Oscar time.
