Occasionally, something goes awry and it gets messed up.  Then those who are messed up take to message boards, reflect on their own situation, and state that it should be the norm.  It's not.

There's been studies that show boys will gravitate towards trucks, girls dolls, etc...(not googling)   This is innate stuff, not society-determined roles.  Yes, there will always be exceptions, of course, but overall, it's just the way it is.  Idiot parents will not change that.

there are innate differences, of course. however the vast majority of behavior is learned. the idea is to let the child determine what makes it happy on its own instead of telling it what it should like and not letting it do things considered "unfit" for its gender.
