I met Berry in the very early '90s here in Toronto when he and Jim Quinn rolled through town doing some sort of WBF promotion. They came to the then-Powerhouse Gym in the city's west end and trained.

Dude was one of the friendliest and kindest pros I have ever met, and I have met many. Not even a slight bit of bullshit or ego about him.

I wish him the best.
