I've never seen such a bunch of dumb mother fu ckers post in one thread in all the times I've been on here. You're comparing killing a baby to something monetary?
1. Regardless if the baby was diagnosed mentally disabled before birth or not, it's not always the case and even if it was case, it was both yours and hers decision to have the sex knowing what might happen.
2. I guess unconditional love only applies to libs when it's convenient for them, but when something happens you run away from the OBLIGATED responsibility.....take the easy way out and don't handle the responsibility they created. Thats the left wing motto
Like I said, I would never bring a retarded child into this world knowingly. If by some odd chance that the child was born and then developed a handicap, that's a different story.
Think about it this way, it IS YOUR responsibility as a tax payer to take care of the handicapped/retarded kids. Do you have any idea how much money it costs for special needs kids for school, medical care, ...etc. After a while private insurance reaches a cap and then it's up to the government to take care of it.
To me, it IS NOT the money issue of raising a retarded kid. It is more humane in my opinion to abort the child before it comes into the world.
Or is it more humane for the child to suffer, not even know its surroundings, be a vegetable, ...etc.
I'll go back to the example of my "friend of a friend".
Their daughter is 6 years old. She can't walk on her own...she crawls. She gets tube feedings through a hole in her side. She yells and screams incoherently...etc. It is painful to watch her, at small get togethers when they bring her with everyone puts on the fake smile and tells the parents she is beautiful and amazing.
How can you as a responsible person live through such misery watching and knowing that your child can not even fucking eat on their own, much less communicate or even stand? How can you sleep at night and not wonder what the fuck will happen to the child when the benefits run out or when the parents are no longer capable of taking care of it?
