Hit a car turning off the freeway.
An instant passes...
Yahama totaled.
While Cody at 250 to skids on down the freeway ...
In cold, winter gear, Levis and a helmit.
Comes to a stop in the center lane
while traffic passes at 70 per....
and stops ...
Cody opens his eyes to see a worried face
that laffs when Cody says, .....
"My thumb hurts!"
Ambulance arrives.
Traffic continues onto its designation (Oakland).
Cody rushed to hospital.
No scrapes, no bruises .... But
a fucked up collar bone (A/C joint??)
and a fucked up thumb that is broke in the middle.
One week later ...
All is well but ....
Cody is down to 237.
Next week ..... Back to work ....
Pumping iron....
as if nothing happened.
