That and the fact that they have a huge mistrust of others, most likely due to their communist past. I've met plenty of other Europeons (Irish, English, German, Dutch, etc) around town, mainly in bars and pubs, and they all basically said to me never trust a Pole. These fellas were mainly businessmen trying to establish some sort of business in Poland.
