DK, I'm not interested in attending but I know that area well.

Here are a couple of suggestions if you do attend .....

The best food available within 200 years of the hotel is only a five minute walk over to Ellis Island Casino..... a real basic style locals' joint that serves some of the best food in this town for prices ranging from $1.99 - $12.99.

Have the ham and eggs breakfast and you'll be amazed by the size of the ham.

Definitely not a fancy place and the service isn't something that you'd write home about but I have yet to meet anyone who didn't like it.

There is also a decent fast serve pizza counter in Ellis Island ... but only "fast service" if the line ain't too long and they seem to give priority to call in orders which stops that line while they close the deal.

And adjacent to the pizza counter is the BBQ Spare Rib spot which are among the best in town providing you don't receive an overcooked, crispy slab. If you get a Player's Card before you place an order you get a sizable discount.

You'll be missing a local's favorite if you don't try this place and have a meal or two.
