Just saw Green Lantern...
« on: June 18, 2011, 10:26:38 PM »

Was pretty fucking cool.  The story was kinda meh, but what can you expect from a comic book, you take it for what it is.  I think it was torture for my wife though, she is not a fan LOL

Special effects were exceptionally great, and lots of great action!  Ryan Reynolds did a fantastic job with the part but I thought the supporting cast was lame with the exception of that leader of the green lanterns guy.

I ordered, a small popcorn, dibs (crunchie flavor), a pack of m&ms, and a medium diet coke (bodybuilding related)

Green Lantern Blu-Ray Review Calls The Movie An "Eyesore" And Not Worth Buying!
One of the first reviews for Green Lantern on Blu-ray reveals that the quality of the HD picture is pretty awful, stating that: "Green Lantern's video transfer languishes in darkness and never shines as bright as its heroes' rings"...
Green Lantern did not look up on the big screen in 3D, and it disappointingly doesn't look any better in HD according to a review over at Blu-ray.com! Many thanks to "Jordanstine" over at the SHH Forums for compiling the following excerpts from the review. Remember, you can read it in full by clicking on the link below.

It's not bad at all, just not as good as Thor or X Men: First Class.

X Men: First Class is awesome. I'd have no problem with it being the best movie of this year.

first class was good bro, I really like the actor who plays fagneto.. he was good in inglorious basterds as well.  for whatever reason, nazi related plots seem to always make for a good win (glad kevin bacon didn't get a chance to show his ass/dick for once)

First Class isn't just about the action, it's more about character development. Seriously, watch it and tell me you weren't impressed. The action is great, but is only part of reason the whole movie is so good.

Yeah, Fassbender made that movie for me. Brilliant actor and very intense. He literally stole the spotlight in every scene he was in, plus his bromance with Charles is the best one I've seen. Loved the bar scene in South America and also his lines, like when he tells Mystique to be herself.

Watched Green Lantern in the theater, in 3D, it was funny, sort of like a trip.

I agree on Ryan Reynolds playing the role well, there were several scenes where he caught the "oh now i'm a superhero" feeling very well.

Haven't watched Thor and X-Men yet, X-Men is out on Blu-ray here now, i think i will rent it next week.
