Technically it would be 'an' abortion. See, in english we use the word 'an' in place of 'a' when its preceding a word that begins with a vowel (a/e/I/o/u). Please make sure that whatever you forward to my employer is grammatically correct. I imagine its tough getting people to take you seriously, his may be a part of it.
