No Synthol. Calves are 100 % genetics. There are people with similar calves who haven't seen a gym from the inside ever. That's also why it's completely useless to take advice from anyone on how to build calves. Most of the guys with the best calves in the world barely train them
Got it. Gotta say though, the 'best' gym accident I ever saw was 20+ years ago, when a guy stripped a 45 off the end of a benchpress bar right onto his big toe. He had on a pair of those old school, white heavy-leather high tops, and when that steel plate hit his toe it turned red immediately - like as fast as dipping street flowers into a warm-water dye. Then, he went white; then, he collapsed. There was no walking that one off.
True, but FiveFingers are alright in terms of hygiene it's just that they don't offer enough protection in case a person drops a weight on their foot.
.because you're a closet homo
Dayum, big calves on the left and right.
My gym has a requirement to wear footwear in the weight room so some guys who wanted to train barefoot bought FiveFingers but eventually they got banned for insurance purposes. They would probably be good for leg and deadlift workouts.
i think you should be able to wear any shoe u want to the gym. i wear very thin wrestling shoes..i am sure a weight would smash my foot pretty easily..actually if you wore nike's would that save you toes,..NO!. your gym has a stupid rule there.my buddy got a pair about a month ago. he says they are awesome to wear on doing squats and for deadlifting.
He must be doing a lot of calf raises.
Or not. Matarazzo hardly ever trained his calves, just for photo shoots.
