did you know that working out in a gym with air conditioning is akin to a fag workout in a cool swimming pool

if people want to sweat and get there heart rate up clean out the gutters on the roof of there house about mid day. or better yet dont run the A/C in the summer and sweat like crazy to burn out your energy faster

you see coolness means you save energy lower heart rate too

heat even without much movement more sweating more metabolism activated

i suggest that stavios make a reccomendation to the gym owner to cut off all air conditioning units in order to make workouts more difficult in less time

long ago in a far away land when i was young i worked from 5 o'clock in the morning till 200 in the morning the next day stacking soda cases to fulfill a contract. the lightest weighed 40  lbs the heaviest 60 lbs all day with just an half hour lunch break and 20 minutes supper break for 6 days straight.what did i do sunday, you guessed it lifted weights for 2 hours. next week was a breeze only an 80 hour 6 day work week.

You must be a beast.

If you have a set of stairs at home you can get one of the best workouts. Run up and down the stairs 100 times. At the end of that do mountain climbers (alternating legs) on the second step. Then do box jumps on the 4th step. You will have the endurance of a champ. Builds up your calfs and the muscles around your ankles. Sprints and jumprope are great to. You don't need a gym for cardio. It takes me thirty minutes roughly to do it 100 times. Bye the end of that im covered dripping in sweat. If you want to make it harder put dumbells or wear a weighted vest. I did these exercises in highschool I could dunk a basketball and I had blazing speed.

amen! but do you just go all out every time?  or do you worry about "progressing" in some fashion?

Ill mix it up first 50 ill do real fast take a short break do the second real fast. Second day ill do ten do 1 minute of jumping jacks 40 mountain climbers and then another ten. Ten sets of that. You can do a million different things. I could run an 800 in under 2 mins. I was a really good middle distance runner 400, 800, 4 x400. 4 x 800 great jumper to. My dad started me on this when I was around 14.

so you always go hard, but mix it up constantly too?

i ask because i've always burn out on sprint / high intensity cardio style workouts, but then again i would always do the same thing (4 x 400m sprints + 5 stair sprints was the last one i can remember doing... slowly it would just get harder and harder, not easier :( )

Usually, I am nice to people but I am so pissed off about their little ego trip  that I yelled: "Well, when only 1 person out of your little squad actually stops looking like 10 lbs of shit in a 5lbs bag, I might get really motivated and try it again"

everybody laughed at them.

Are they using the same amounts of drugs you're?

Bullshit.  You want hard, try clearing brush for 8 hours in 100 degree weather a few days a week.
Jesus fucking christ you sound like my dad ROFL!! Between that and all the planting of daffodils he is a super human. I finally convinced him to start weight training. He used to make me do that bullshit with him on the weekends.

If your doing sprints try mixing in some 100's and 200's/ Try doing latters.

as a person in the "Fitness industry" I can tell you that "Bootcamp" is all a gimmick for housewives to think that they are working hard.

It's all smoke and mirrors

you want a hard workout, get a weighted vest and run up some stairs

As a fellow trainer, THIS IS TRUE LOL

Ive done a BOOTCAMP Class before, the exercises themselves arent hard, whats hard about that type of training is that the exercises are fast paced and back to back.I did one last year, i was all cocky going into it, thinking " i lift weights", this is gonna be easy. HA!  I tapped out after 20 min, walked out the front door and puked everywhere. Like i said, the exercises are easy, thier just fast paced/back to back. I STICK to weight training but its good to try something differant.
Your cardio was/is shit.  ;D Sometimes bodybuilders get a little too cocky themselves, thinking because you are "on swole" and are lifting crazy weight that they can do anything.

Want to be strong, look good and have Cardio. Simple.. Lift hard 5 days a week, do incline sprints one day, and finally, run 4-5 miles one day. Make sure to do jog on an easy weightlifting day and sprints on one of the days you don't lift. Tada!! All in all 6 days of exercise a week.

Agreed. It was March of last year when i took the class, AND i hadnt trained in about 6 months and when i was, i was doing very little cardio and yes, we do get cocky, like i mentioned. Stop lifting/cardio etc......for a good 6 months and take a bootcamp class, itll kick anyones ass.

Hit the weights HARD/3-4 days per wk., grappling/2x per wk., Kickboxing-CQC/3x per wk.
Cardio: 5-6 days/per wk.

That's how you do it...look good AND capable of opening a can of WHOOP ass when necessary.

the new trend at my gym is the "boot-camp" training. I don'T mind about it but it's not for me.
I tried it once, it was nice but I just prefer my regular training and with my fucked up shoulders I have a problem doing overhead movements.

anyway, I am training my legs and minding my own business. When the group of 20 retards who think they are doing a workout that nobody else could do comes out and say: "Hey Steve ! When will you try a real workout like us! " ( ::)) They say this everytime they come out of their "bootcamp"

Usually, I am nice to people but I am so pissed off about their little ego trip  that I yelled: "Well, when only 1 person out of your little squad actually stops looking like 10 lbs of shit in a 5lbs bag, I might get really motivated and try it again"

everybody laughed at them.

that was a little harsh but the dude who does the bootcamp keeps brainwashing them to think they are super-human because they do his workout and it pisses me off  ;D

safe to say they won't be bragging anymore

come on, thats not a real meltdown....I thought you were going to say that you hit them upside the head with a barbell or something like that

man i know what you mean. Those fucks seem to always come in groups, along with their "trainers"...they take over the whole gym like its their own playground. disturbing.
