I have noticed that woman have a strict set of rules for men, but a very forgiving set of guidelines for themselves.
Woman even have different standards of honesty, infedelity, rules for going out, rules for friends etc, one for men, one for woman.

So what RM says only works if there is ONE set of rules ............ but there is not, so it never works.

That depends on the individual situation.
