7 Weeks out Leafybug Progress
« on: June 26, 2011, 10:30:18 AM »
Just got back from the NWA Natural show guys. It was a great show with many costumes and characters. I like going to bodybuilding shows from the awkwardness and public humiliation. Here is the update. Not as lean as i was last year at 7 weeks out unfortunately but i was ready at 3 weeks out. I hope i can still get the striated glutes so it will accentuate the glitter on my Brazilian cut trunks.

Thanks... hard diet this year. Never had to force feed myself on a diet. I don't think im doing anything wrong because im losing weight consistently and i was 195 in those pictures. Im afraid i might need to be about 183 again like last year. Hopefully it will look different but then gains have been small this year.

No cardio this year as usual. Im basically interchanging chicken and beef every meal. A cup of cooked eggwhties in the morning with greek yogurt and skim milk... Nothing is really super tight right now. I have been pretty relaxed with it this year. I have trouble eating my meals.

Looking good dude.

One suggestion, put your fucking hands on the sides of your waist in the front lat spread..............you won`t hide your waist and it will make you appear much wider with a better V-taper.

Thank me later.

Stay focused bud,you`re gonna` kick ass this year,just a feeling I got.

I think you look awesome.

With all respect, it's hard to tell if you've made much progress, though.  Maybe when you're as lean as in the before pic, your gains will show better.  Still, if I were in your shoes, I'd probably take a year off.  You're in your early 20s, yes?  You can still grow like no tomorrow on fairly minimal stuff in that age range ... two years of serious mass building should see you a legit heavyweight, which, even with your natural gifts, you really HAVE to be at your height.  As great as you look at 180 onstage, there's always the risk of some short guy in your weight class who's going to make you look stringy by comparison.

Just a thought.

Are you gonna up the dosage and start gunning for the pro ranks, Leafy, or do you just compete because you like it?

Definitely look improved, BTW.

I tried doing that actually and i felt the pose didn't look as powerful. When you have weak arms you ahve to pull the elbow forward so they look midgety. Lee Priest used to hit it like that but his hands were back more on his hips. I have tried playing with it like that but i can't get the elbows far enough. I am not too worried about width anyway. I haven't come across too many people as wide or wider then me but i have never competed outside of this state so what do i know. That is why i cock the elbows higher on a front double bi.

I don't look at it like that... I think most of these guys look their best when they turn pro. I would like to think the highest level id ever want to achieve would be a national title. There would have to be some kind of financial incentive for me to continue on but bodybuilding has a drug like effect. When it becomes ingrained into your identity it is kind of hard to just stop and quit. You will undergo an identity crisis. I think mindpsin has spoken on this before and i have seen it before with my own eyes.

I think there are some definite improvements in the chest. shoulder area and arms as well as legs.  You seem to be a tad thicker this year which is what your judges are always looking for.  Your conditioning will be spot on as usual so at least there is nothing to worry about there.  Any idea on who your biggest competition is going to be since the guy you beat (in every one`s opinion except the judges) is not competing?

Hmmm there is a family around here that competes in the state show. I think a father son and uncle who have all won the title before. I think the uncle is returning this year to compete and he looked pretty lean from a picture i saw last night. Leaner then me... he is an older guy. He will definitely take the Masters title.

PS: I think if this show doesn't end well i might start competing on the east coast. The judging criteria here is a bit different. They like bigger guys that are softer. I think i would place better in an east coast competition as well.

Cool. A national title in your great country is no mean feat and is an excellent goal to gun for.

You would easily win the NC State show.

Why

Seriously dude take some time off...up the dose, get you some gh, and up the food. Your just wasting another 3 months dieting ::) Dieting for what? To look like you play around with bunk shit? I'm trying to motivate you bro, not bring you down. The talent is there but your head is not. Either accept what you need to do or spend your money and  get you some golf lessons with Tbombz.
