The harshness of life: aging rockstars..and us.

Must be even more confronting for bodybuilders....when did you became aware that you wasn't a spring chicken anymore?
For me it was when hot young girl behind the counter started calling me "sir"......

Oh fuck that Johnny Winter pic. He never really looked like Cutler, but this is terrible. I saw him in Amsterdam in 86 I think, all tats and stuff but vibrant. Then again late 90's, we left the show earlier because it sucked. I saw some recent performances on Youtube, you don't wanna know..

lol yeah same for me - being called Sir is a defiant clue that you have moved on from teenager to young man.
But I kinda like were i am right now 36 still looking much younger than I am - and I still have a lot of dreams and ambitions in life.
I don't think I be ever the type of - docker jeans / jeanos wearing guy, there will always be a side of rebellion inside of me and a huge child that is a constant annoyance to my poor wife :D

Take care of yourself through diet and exercise, drink/drugs in moderation, stay out of the sun, get proper rest and maintain an optimistic outlook on life.

No excuse for people to look like shit as they age, except for those prone to laziness and self-indulgence. Referring to, of course, 99.999% of the population.

Oh yeah....

whenever this subject comes up..... i always say look at SEAN CONNERY!!!!!!!!!
growing older is no big deal, if you have it, you will still have it... lol!

just don't overdo things! like plastic surgery.. etc etc..
grow old with style....
accept your age, noting more sad then a 50 year old trying to look like a 20 year old...

Lemmy has been consistently giving father time the finger, he' still as ugly as the day he was born and doesn't give a fuck.

He even looks better than James Hetfield:

Nobody can`t  say it doesn`t  suck to get old and you hate sometimes to see it on the mirror. But you canīt give up (because it would get much wors), so you continue looking at that fucking mirror and trying to improve he he.

I saw Johnny Winter about 10 years ago,I used to love the guy but he was a shadow of his former self as fas as physically and could no longer play guitar anywhere near the way he used to.

He was still talented, but he wasn`t the Johnny Winter I grew up on.

A buddy of his told me that all he does all day is drink Jack Daniels in his trailer and listen to Muddy Waters records!  :(

"Lemmy is well known for his lifelong large intake of alcohol. In the documentary "Live Fast Die Old", it was revealed that he still drinks a bottle of Jack Daniels a day and has done so since he was 30 years old." 8)

"Lemmy collects Nazi memorabilia, and has an Iron Cross encrusted on his bass"
