The Fountainhead - maybe not the movie so much, but the book definitely, for the concepts in it and characterization of Howard Roark & Gail Wynand.

And any movie where the underdog wins in the end after getting beat down by life hard - like Hidalgo and Cinderalla Man. Not life changing, but inspiring / gives you hope.

for me, I'd have to say Titanic.. because it made me realize what the fuck am I doing wasting 2 hours of my time on this shit, that was a life changing epiphany.

It also made me realize if you fall asleep during a movie more then twice, it's probably not a very good movie.

Chris Nolan's The Dark Night was inspiring. The first main stream movie that I thought was also a piece of artwork. Observe and Report was also nicely done.
