This could potentially be a precedent-setting case, because I'm not sure that an actual marriage proposal was made. If a judge agrees that there was no proposal, then the ring is nothing more than a gift and would not have to be returned to the purchaser.

If she's smart, though, she'll send the ring back and then bleed the chump dry, at $10,000/month until he's broke.
