Watch the video without sound. The guy used his foot on the window, this does not mean he deserves to get punched in the face repeatedly.

It was assault anyway you look at it. But the dude wasn't hurt or injured. If that cop had broke his nose or broke his jaw, the penalty would have been more severe. But 18 months for that is retarded. I've never known one person who hadn't any prior's go straight to jail for punching someone.

The part in bold is irrelevant. The rightness/wrongness of assault does not depends on whether the one getting hit was hurt or injured. It is morally wrong. Therefore it was not deserved.

You can't kick a cop car window, especially threatening to break the glass. That foot could have easily gone through, it doesn't take much to kick out a window. Just a little pressure in the right spot.
The cop should not have hit him. That was wrong. But idiots like that deserve a smack. It stopped him from kicking and breaking the window, after all. lol
