Yawn...besides Getbig and a bank I use online access to, I am totally offline. I have never posted my identity, address, name or e-mail online. Ever, ever, ever. Even the name and e-mail that I used to register here are plagiarized. No one will ever find out who I am. ;)

Here's the thing. Yesterday, I was at a dinner with friends, and they served French cheeses with Cabernet as an appetizer. I ate massive amounts of Camembert, Gruyére and Comté. I started to feel dizzy and full, so I excused myself and went home to sleep. Today, I went to the gym to do a chest/shoulders wokout and I was massively stronger. I benched 315 lbs for 6 clean reps with the bar touching my chest. The previous workout, I did 3 reps with this weight. I front military pressed 180 lbs for 8 reps. This is a rep less than I did in my previous workout...but with 50 extra pounds stacked on the bar!!!!!! Not only that, I felt a lot fuller after the workout and I am feeling no soreness whatsoever.

Here is my theory: cheese, and especially French cheeses, are extremely rich in CLA. And unlike the CLA in supplements which the body does not absorb and utilize at all, the CLA in cheese is extremely bioavailable. Cheese and raw whole milk contain a lot of other fatty acids and co-factors that dramatically increase the body's ability to utilize CLA. The problem is that eating fatty French cheeses every day is not a solution, not only because these cheeses are extremely expensive, but also because, given the amount of saturated fats and Sodium they have, eating them every day is almost a garanteed myocardial infarction or stroke in less than a year. You should eat something that is 50% saturated fat in massive amounts no more than a few times a year.

I have come to the conclusion that CLA is the best bodybuilding supplement. End of story. Nothing else comes even close. Forget nitric oxide. Forget creatine, HMB, Glutamine, etc. This shit is for real. What supplement companies need to do is figure out a CLA in synthetic form that the body can actually absorb dammit.

Gruyére is from Switzerland you dim-witted Know nothing.  Furthermore, you don`t know a thing about cheese and you also don`t realize that location means nothing as the quality comes from the cheese-make which is not respective of his or her location.

I hope this helps.

Maybe consume some efa's when taking cla to enhance absorption? There has to be a way to enhance absorption. Turn powder cla into an injectible? DMSO?

My pedantic troll-faced midget, even if I got a billion pieces of trivia wrong, I would still be much smarter than you. So Gruyére is from Switerland. Who gives a shit ???

Where have I stated that location is responsible for the superior content of CLA in French cheese, you fucking moron? I said that French cheese has more CLA because the cows that provide the milk for the cheese are grass-fed compared to American cows which are usually grain-fed. I never said location has anything to with it, dumbass. Learn to read, you ugly guy.

I suspect that EFAs won't work. Cheese has little EFAs but a lot of saturated fatty acids. Unfortuntely, it seems like what increases CLA absorption are saturated fats.

So, since I eat a lot of saturated fats in the morning (usually 4 whole eggs with 4-5 oz of cheese, sharp cheddar or pepperjack, maybe it would be ideal to down a huge dose of CLA every morning with breakfast? Do you think this will be effective? What dose of CLA? Maybe cook my eggs in butter instead of olive oil? Then eat clean rest of the day?

You shouldn't be eating saturated fats anyway except for maybe palmitic and lauric acids which are healthy, Eating saturated fatty acids offer no health benefits besides slightly increasing the absorption of vitamins D and A. It might also increase the absorption of CLA, which is healthy and anabolic, but whatever health benefits it gives you are far outweighted by the deleterious effects on your cardiovascular system and insulin sensitivity. It is not worth it.

Saturated fats won't hurt you. Fats that will hurt you are any overly processed ones or tampered with ones. Avoid: Vegetable oils, canola oil, margarine, any sort of trans fat or deep fried fats. Also fats from animals raised with conventional farming methods.

Saturated fats from animals raised on grass without pesticides, hormones, antibiotics etc are all good.

People have been eating those sort of animal fats for a very, very long time. Instances of heart disease have increased with the introduction of wheat flour products and sugar and then increased further with the introduction of vegetable oils.

Yeah...but people used to exercise a lot before cars and most machines were invented...and there was no high-fructose corn syrup and sucrose(fructose + glucose) to raise blood tryglyceride levels even further than what a diet high in saturated fats already raise them. So a diet high in saturated fats was not as harmful then as it is now. You are comparing apples and oranges.

Sure, but we are discussing why your example doesen't apply: in a World where most people do eat a lot of sugar and exercise little, eating a diet rich in saturated fats is a diaster. Eating a lot of sugar in a diet poor in saturated fats is not harmful to your cardiovascular system.. But eating saturated fat with such a diet is disastrous due to the increase in LDL cholesterol caused by saturated fats, which gets oxidized because you are burning sugar instead of fats for energy. You cannot compare this to a Pleolithic tribe in the cold of winter that gets all its energy from saturated fats and burns it all because there are no carbs in their diet and they walk all day long. Apples and oranges. Your advice in our modern era is disastrous.
