Doesnt this change all the time? as in you cannot tell (throwing something out there) more then one year in advance.. and if its Big enough and ofc hard. there isn't Shit we can do. wasnt there a "close call" recently which would have ended the planet if it was on a slightly different path.. Its happened before. ice age etc and will eventually happen again.

we have a few volcanoes that could fuck shit up also. Isn't one of them in yellowstone park?

Speaking of ancient civilizations, the inverse square law of gravity (accurate enough to track local "space rocks" for longer than we'd ever need) has been known and loved for close to half a millenium.

*The term "local" is used on the scale of the Universe.  There are certainly objects, even in our own galaxy, that will encounter gravitational fields large enough for the higher order corrections GR gives to Newtonian gravity to have significance, but (as far as we know....but they would be hard to miss) any objects massive enough to cause this worry are pretty fucking far away.  Certainly far enough away that the affected "space rocks" aren't going to be a threat to us for another thousand millennia or so.

**We can (GPS satellites require it) track these higher order corrections for near-earth objects too, but the field equations are non-linear and use up a lot of computing power to give corrections that amount to basically knowing if the life-ending comet will hit us in New York or Buffalo.

***Quantum computers will have no problem handling the calculations to almost arbitrary precision, but event they'll be an ancient technology (and probably long since forgotten altogether) by the time any rock far enough away to warrant that kind of precision came close enough to even detect from earth.  FML

when you want to make something sound serious do no interview a bullshit journalist with botox and bad facial surgery , ruins it all.

every person interviewed sounds bogus or has something to sell, and the pictures of the site doesnt prove anything... maybe a more valuable scientific source and confirmation would be welcome...

where is the proof of this was made 12000 years ago?

I call this bullshit... it could be decades old or max - couple of hundreds of years..

or built 6 months ago by turkey to make dumb tourists come visit a new attraction...

A bit off topic here but it may be of interest ....

While surfing the net to look some of this stuff up I discovered that the world as we know it will end after the Euphrates River dries up.

ANd then I discovered that artifacts like this are being discovered  because the Euphrates River is drying up due to the drought and misuse.

This info was posted on the net about two years ago and there is no current report on the river's recovery or otherwise.

Any Euphrates River dwellers on this Board???

QUOTE from the net... The shrinking of the Euphrates, a river so crucial to the birth of civilization that the Book of Revelation prophesied its drying up as a sign of the end times, has decimated farms along its banks, left fishermen impoverished and depleted riverside towns, forcing farmers to flee to the cities looking for work.

hahaha you really believe that these numbnuts are able to keep a cataclysmic even under wraps? they aren't able to keep
documents leaking out to the main stream media :D

When ever i hear that "they" want to keep it quite I snicker a little and remind myself how fucking incompetent most governments really are.

Area 51...... We can't keep a Marine beach invasion secret and news cameras are filming us coming ashore... yet we can keep space ships and aliens secret for 40 yrs? hahahahahahaha!

DOLSON, your mention of it is the first time I've ever heard of the INVERSE SQUARE LAW OF GRAVITY, so I looked it up because I find it interesting to read about stuff that is almost impossible for me to understand.... and here is what I found.

"Inverse Square Law, General.....

Any point source which spreads its influence equally in all directions without a limit to its range will obey the inverse square law. This comes from strictly geometrical considerations. The intensity of the influence at any given radius r is the source strength divided by the area of the sphere. Being strictly geometric in its origin, the inverse square law applies to diverse phenomena. Point sources of gravitational force, electric field, light, sound or radiation obey the inverse square law. It is a subject of continuing debate with a source such as a skunk on top of a flag pole; will it's smell drop off according to the inverse square law?"

Is the above what you were referring to and can you recommend a good book on the subject? I can recall reading something about this relating to sound waves that never go silent due to the fact that they travel into the infinity, but I am completely 'dumbed out' on this subject and find it interesting.

Can you recommend any good reading material on this subject?

BS. carbon dating what exactly? if you carbon date a rock it will be 4 billion years old, give or take a billion  :)

even said they did not find a single stone cutting tool at the site, which you would normally carbon date.

but now there will be books sold and more grants to dig.  still interesting cultural find I suppose, whatever

Those carvings were made from mud and formed.  Then the sun hardened everything.

Think outside the box.

There has been speculation that if the "greenhouse" gasses didn't take over on Venus it too might have life. So yeah, you could call it luck that we are only living things on our system that we know of for now.

rocks can't be carbon dated, but I see your point, nothing was found that can be dated.....except for mud which is pretty lame...

That is a huuuuuuuuuuuuge if and believe me if Venus would have got past this hurdle there would be thousands more

12 friggen thousand years old - it doubles the existence of human civilization.
They haven't found a single stone cutting tool or any other tools found.

Created 11 - 12 thousand years old and at a later stage tightly packed and covered by earth for unknown reason.

http://www.wimp.com/unexplainedstructure/

lol..  civilization is much older than 12 thousand years..  it took millions of years for humans to evolve..  by looking at the fossil records you can see that we have been basically the same for the past 100,000 years and more.

lol, no what he said was equally stupid though

"Tide goes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication. You can't explain that,” and thats proof of god  ;D (ignoring what role the moon play in tides) harvard education afterall  ;D
he isnt the sharpest tool in the shed, he doesnt present his argument properly. but what hes getting at is the principle of causality, and hes right about that.

something exists. so where did it come from? you cant explain it without God.

i saw a show on this it was called ancient aliens

the bible story still makes the most sense thou,
bible story doesnt make sense, what makes sense is God. bible story is directly contradicted by facts. creation by God is directly supported by every observable fact.

you cant explain it without God.fact.
what kind of explanation is god exactly? hahahaha.

God is as good of a explanation as "I dont know" And not knowing is fine. But dont make up a pathetic word instead of not knowing.

With this logic, then its fair to say you don't know if God existd or not.
