40 or even mid 40 is not old in bodybuilding now.i dont see any problem him winning 202lb now 212lb Mr Olympia.i think he is not competing cuz not much money being offered yet for 212lb.

it's not about the actual age...it's about the number of years that midget has spent abusing the shit out of his body
toney freeman can compete at realatively old age because he didn't start at 13 like liar priest did...troy alves can compete older because he's doses haven't been as absurd as lp's...gary strydom was able to make comaback at 50 because at his time the abuse wasn't as ridiculous and because he had taken a slight brak in between

he is not competing for quite some time now.enough time to recapture the receptors.he left the stage because of politics he did not left cuz his body stop responding to gear like Ronnie or Nasser.saw him at BGP 2011 i still think he has at least 5 year left in him.

what i always have been saying.... it's not the age... it's the number of years you have been putting your body to the abuse. the body can only take so much abuse, before it WILL break down.
taylor, freeman, alves... all began late in live.... still there looking great.
priest, gaspari, the russian kid wil also follow them.... started abuse very young, i am not talking use here... abuse!
also the reason why many guys from the 80's made comebacks and looked the same or better at an older age... back the the abuse was less, and their bodies were not tired yet.
and...... no slin! one dude back then.. tim belknap...... used slin because he was diabetic... but abused the stuff!!!! look where it got him.....
