Oh brother,how can you replace arnie with some ex boyband wannabe with 13inch arms and sticks for legs?!These Hollywood execs need to be rounded up and shown what a real man looks like

my problem is more with the concept of constantly doing remakes. Like nothing else new can be invented anymore.

How many remakes is Hollywood going to do? The lack of originality and uniqueness is getting pathetic. Wasn't this the clown in the Miami Vice remake? Haven't heard anything about him for about 5 years.

This jackass is already going to be in another remake.

Next month, Fright Night hits theaters. Farrell is playing the vampire role made popular by actor Chris Sarandon in the horror classic featuring Planet of the Apes star Roddy McDowell.






And now, he thinks he can play the Schwarzenegger? ???

Ethically? Borderline.. Robin Hood was similarly redone last year.

Financially? Yes. Whatever makes money, look how they "restarted" batman and most notibly the hulk! (Bana/Norton)

Robin Hood, hulk and batman have had countless adaptations and spin-offs. Total Recall was a one off so i don't see the comparison. The financial reason for the remake is probably Avatar which trudged into similar territory (albeit in a dull and predictable way).

Yes the superhero movies were just examples of hollywoods lack of respect.
However I can see Robin Hood is another type of film, a classic tale.
Would you say Predator is a better comparison? Or maybe Karate Kid?

Anyways, yes it could be good if they don't play on the Arnold movie at all and start fresh off the original short story.

Miami Vice btw was not a good remake imo.

The directors resume is Underworld and Die Hard 4.
Little skeptic that he'll produce a masterpiece remake of "We can remember it for you wholesale". But lets hope.
