The older I get, the more I respect Zanes physique.
I used to literally just ignore anything that had to do with him, especially posters like DJ who nutted all over him constantly, cause the dude had his time (about 1 min) back in the 70's, and that was it. Nothing groundbreaking, didnt dominate, nothing really to write home about, but certain posters always seemed to have a stupid hard on for him cause he's "aesthetic".

Well the older I get, the more I respect his physique as being on of the most balanced aesthetic physiques ever.
Problem still remains, against the cult of BB as a whole, Zane is on the far end of the twink scale, and its fine to prefer his physique, but those same people that run around posting Zane as what BB should be are still morons. Zane wouldnt win shit today, Zane wouldnt have won ANYTHING IN THE 90's, let alone get a pro card.

Zane had his chance, and the cult of bodybuilding chose Arnold, and then followed that trend of mass+conditioning+balance will little deviation until present day. He got his O and got out, being smart enought to realize that he had no chance with the way things were going.

Not that  there is anything wrong with that, but you are exactly right. I have said before that Phil's ability to get into contest shape and his arms are what keeps him placing high. All the rest of him is average. No disrespect to Phil. Phil loses a lot of impressiveness when he brings his arms up when doing a front DB pose for example, but as soon as he drops them and shows that front of them in any pose he turns into a freak. This is why I am kinda on the fence about him ever winning the Olympia. I think Mr Olympia should be a freak in every pose not just a signature pose that he happens to look good in because of his genetics.
