Who watches golf?

Does anyone here watch golf regularly? Like more than a half hour at a time? I cant bring myself to watch for more than a few seconds. This is the ONLY sport that I'm like this with. Even with hockey (whats a hockey?)ill watch here and there when the it gets deep in the the post-season. But never golf.

What sports can you NOT watch?

If someone does not watch a sport does not mean theyre ignorant to it.

For instance, i'd wager my next paycheck that you know fuckall about nascar. Should I assume that you think Dale E jr. is a legend because he is so widly popular and is consistantly on commercials because of his endorsements?

All I said that you most likely think Tiger is the best ever.  Was I correct?  The reason being that the less golf someone has watched, the more likely they are to think of him as the best, imo.  I've talked to dozens of people who can ramble about him, but if you ask about most ANY other golfer, the only one they might know of is Phil.....and it's always the "I never watch, unless Tiger is playing....."  ::)

You're reaching. Both assumptions were in completely different context respectively.

Not as big into it as I used to be. Ive been to a few in Loudon. I like the Pocono race..you get a lot of surprise winners.

I actually had a couple of beers with Dale back around 2001, I was an intern in the town where he lives.  A really, really nice guy.  He was also a pretty accomplished athlete in HS and I think he received some sholarship offers in baseball and basketball.


2nd, I wasn't trying to high-jack your thread.  I should have just been more straight forward instead of sarcasm.  sorry about that, but my original point was that i run into so many golf "fans" who really don't watch it and only take their knowledge of the sport from Sports Center highlights.
