Yes, especially with younger actors and big money movies they don't dare to say anything other than the script and rehearsals with their PR team has decided on.

Their standard lines are so canned it's really nausieting for a non-fanatic to watch.

Even if he saidf something worthwile, it would fall on deaf ears on the target group for the interview. It's like what he is saying right here does not matter one bit. He is just standing there like a pure product for teen girls to watch him smile and show off some skin for a couple of minutes. He could have had no muscle at all but girls would be contitioned to think that is a buff guy.
