me too but it will bore the public because the "beginning" of spiderman was already done with the mcguire homo and now they are doing it again

Looks like they're focusing more on the origins and background of Spiderman, same as Batman Begins did for Batman. Not surprising, since this is a reboot.

Nails, Peter Parker is supposed to be a twink anyway.

Love the computer generated running... hell why even bother writing scripts anymore. Lets just computer generate them as well and insert Twink 1 and Twink 2 as the main characters. That seems to be the new formula for hollywood these days. Don't even bother creating anything new anymore. Just rewrite every comic book character's story and star a twink.

They're actually rebooting the entire Spiderman franchise and this is the first movie of the series. They had plans to make a 4th Spiderman with Tobey M, but it got scrapped.

Seems to be the times of reboot. Superman: Man of Steel coming out late next year is also a reboot of the Superman franchise.

Agree. No need to start from the very beginning of the character yet again.

I had a huge comic collection back in the day, and I enjoyed a lot of the characters that Marvel Comics created. But enough with the comic book movies. They are beginning to become downright annoying.

Lots of people feel that way, but superhero movies are big cash cows and the current generation probably wants to see younger actors from their generation doing the roles in newer movies that have far better CGI than the older movies (80s and before). So I doubt Hollywood is going to give up on making more of these flicks anytime soon.

Fans of the comics always complain, but the producers are more interested in profits than sticking to every little twist and turn from the comics. Movies shouldn't just be a "simple" extension of comics anyway.

I already know this. If anyone understands that it all comes down to PROFIT it is yours truly.

Nevertheless, I give myself the prerogative to vent.

And I DO think that eventually both the public AND the studios will tire of this genre, and rather soon.

The original Superman with Christopher Reeves is a good movie.

Is Russel Crowe playing Superman now? Seems a bit passed his prime for the role.

I'm with Meso. on this one. At the end of the day though, I still read my comics. I prefer them 100000000000000000000000 0000000000000000000000 x over the movies. Would, however, like to see a movie based on my fav. comic, Black Adam. Oh, well. :/

I'd like to note that readin' comic books as a child is what motivated me to life weights. Matter of fact, at 27 yo I still lift weights so I, too, can be as big as my fav. superheroes. Sounds kinda gay, but hey, that's what I've always wanted. Lol. I think I was bigger than Spiderman at 5 months old though.
