What is with you leftists' obsession w taxes and redistribution?
taxes are required to provide programs and funding for vital programs that aid college programs and education. It's needed, but to what extent is the debate. Redistribution is also required because all things arent equal and some who benefit greatly because of circumstance should be obligated as humans to help those that are depressed because of circumstance. Im not talking total redistribution but obviously inequality to such a large degree is unhealthy for a civilization, there is no concept of equal pay for equal work, there are massive skews. You have basketball players making millions and doctors making a fraction of that, you have physicists making next to nothing creating new technologies and advancing our civilization while oil tycoons make billions.
if its everyone for themselves then we are fucked because those in positions of power will make sure its them not you. Open your eyes, do you realize there are kids all over the world starving, for no other reason then where they were born? life isnt fair but we have the ability to skew it and make it so, fairness is not a concept that requires debate, its objective certainty and truth, its the moral thing.
