Fat ugly people use virtual worlds and food as a coping strategy, it keeps them alive despite their low odds of survival. They know nobody like them. They often work in IT.
People who want kids to raise/dominate , or/and affection but cant, wether they know why or not, adopt pets. Old people nobody cares about, disabled people, schizoid individuals. You have to found some love somewhere to stay alive. If you cant get a girlfirend or boyfriend, a husband or a wife, kids, you get a pet. As simple as that. We calculate all the possibilities and settle for the most realistic ones.
Good looking people reassure themselves by telling themselves they re better than everyone else, until they start aging.
Smart people convince themselves they re the best because they re smarter than everyone else, but are often far from being happy.
People who are the same stick together because it's reassuring. And so on.
We all use coping strategies of survival to compensate for our shortcomings. Everything is strategy of survival.
You for example live in a flat and dont work, surf the internet all day long because you are immature, cannot keep a job because it's not good enough, too tough for you, have low self esteem problems and cannot sustain the realities of the outside, adult world, cause you had a bad or absent father figure and cause your mom is overprotective. At some point she ll die and you ll have to survive alone, you ll be forced to grow up, you wont be able to hide in your flat behind your flat screens and internet connexion. You ll have to upgrade your strategies of survival, of coping with reality. The more you wait the tougher it will be and the higher are the chances you wont be able to make it (you asked for it, as usual). When it ll be too late you ll end working a shity job, maybe you ll find a woman (who will look like your mother) you ll get her pregnant and work for you and kid, and will then abandon them reproducing the pattern of your own father, you ll inject steroids to make yourself feel better about your sorry ass and your shortness, and will end just like groink for example.
You obviously wont get an education, a job, a significant place in the big picture, and there are a lot of things you ll never understand.
