First it doesn't have much to do with mariage per say but about long-term relationships and the ones you really commit to. No relationship, no matter how great it is, is linear. You always fall on hard times, there's always moments where your don't feel as attracted to her as you once were or as you'll be at another point in the relationship. Then, and as bizarre as it will sound, there are things that make you think about it twice when you feel like "changing wife". It's called responsabilities. I know you're not familiar with it but they do exist for a lot of people. And as painful as they are, they generally hold great rewards if you can stick around long enough.

Most americans do not do "hall passes". They swing. My wife and I do not do either. Been married for 24 years. I think a hall pass would definitely damage a marriage. Very few could do it and then just get it out of both of your minds. Everytime you work late she will think you are going back for seconds without having a hall pass. IMO.
