If Fedor could get cut and go down to the lightheavy weight he would be more effective.

I don't know why he didn't do that a long time ago. He would really be a force at 205.

Doesn't Fedor have to make 220 lbs for this fight?

pretty sure they scrapped the entire catchweight thing, and that it actually was a lie all along, from dans own mouth since he didnt want fedor to move down because fedor will still be 230 the day of the fight if the catchweight is 220 anyway. Fedor might have decided to try an lighter weight himself though for a potential moving down in weight, that we dont know.

But as of now Hendo will be around 206 and fedor 230. But hendo is hendo. So its not a "lose lose situation" for fedor. Beating hendo means soemthing.

this is really a must win fight for fedor...
if he loses now... he will retire i think.
but he has been on training in the Netherlands, so his striking should have improved a lot!

1st round tko Fedor....

At some point during that video, I saw a man with a very impressive beard.

Having never met the man or even heard of him, I can safely say that he is possibly a very dangerous man.  Just being capable of growing such a divine beard takes a level of discipline that is lacked by even that of the most seasoned fighters.

Being that Fedor has this man by his side, it is possible that a win is in line.

Fedor would be wise in keeping this man by his side at all times,

I believe that is Fedor's spiritual advisor. He's a priest or something. Fedor takes religion very serious. Very humble guy.

agreed hendo is a great fighter...!

but if fedor looses he lost to a 40plus 25 pounds lighter dude.....
when hendo loses , he loses to one of the greatest fighters there was.
if fedor wins, he beats a guy 40 plus and 25 puonds lighter.... lol....
if hendo wins.... he beats the great FEDOR, though not that great anymore since he is on a loosing streak.

i do think it is a loose loose situation for FEDOR.
don't you agree?

I really have a feeling Fedors has this one.. He's so use to fighting opponents much larger than him. This is a really fun fight. I'm more excited about this thank a lot of the recent ufc fights.

I fear that Fedor might have a hard time with Henderson.

Henderson, for all intensive purposes, is an extremely, well-rounded fighter both on the ground and on his feet.  Henderson reminds me of a much-older, Georges St. Pierre, albeit not as polished or dynamic in his fighting skill.

While Henderson has tasted defeat before, most of them haven't been shameful in nature (i.e. typically down to the judges' decision, which can go either way). Fedor, as of the last two fights, has faced terrible defeats (one where he was sloppy and another where he was outmatched by an ogre).

I do wish Fedor the best of luck with this upcoming fight, but I wouldn't be too confident about his potential of winning.

fedor HAS to win this.... it's a career deciding fight....
i am sure he will though.... it is FEDOR! lol.....

agreed ufc is fucking boring....
heavyweight especially... jds vs carwin i almost fell asleep... 3 rounds of jds giving carwin boxing lessons...
and not finishing him off..... really.... i like jds, really, but he should have knocked carwin out.
and cain beating a cry baby Lesnar... dude does not like to get hit..
josh barnett would beat a lot of the ufc heavies...
he will win the strikeforce tournament, fight Overeem later the year..
winner of that fight will rape the ufc champion... lol!

fedor was not outmatched against the ogre....
it was the doc that stopped the fight, fedor was still giving the ogre a fight!
the weight difference was to much also.
and against werdum he got sloppy/arrogant, but werdum is a bjj master.. no shame in making a mistake and getting got in a triangle by someone like werdum.
and hendo is nothing like gsp i think... gsp is very very technical.... has bjj skills , wrestling and very good striking..
hendo is a wrestler, with an a bomb punch.... that's it.... does not have muay thai striking skills....
very good wrestler though, which is very tough to fight...

fedor will win.... tko...

Emelianenko needs this win and I think he can do it with a lower body submission similar to the Lindland fight. Hard watching 2 of my all time favs going at it like this so I'm hoping the best for both these guys. Fedor is a true warrior and isn't afraid of ANYONE, unlike alot of guys in the UFC, so I think his head is in the right place and will pull of the win.

Hendo is tough as nails and wont go down without a serious, serious fight though..
