this isn't news. and what exactly is your point? the author of this article needs to understand that raising taxes on the rich does not always equate to more tax revenues. ever heard of the laffer curve? this is just another example of a blubbering liberal whining about rich people and offering absolutely no solutions other than "I hate rich people".
sure, what does that have to do with what i posted, the 50% theory is not actually true, its not black and white.
laffer curve studies also suggest(the majority) that 50-65% taxation is near the top of the range with some as high as 70% therefore your usage of the term leads me to believe you do not actually understand the concept. nothing approaching that range is being found and on top of that bush tax cuts raped the economy because they did not follow this simple principle but insted hoped they would invest personal savings, another economic theoretical misstep.
alot of solutions have been offered, i would raise minimum wage and empower the middle class, increase taxation on the rich and ensure jobs are not being shipped overseas due to better competition. Military spending should be cut by 50% or more, health reform has to be accomplished with emphasis on preventative medicine. Alot of this has been put forth by democrats.
