Some of you guys don't seem to get it - you have all sorts of excuses and they don't make any sense.
First it was Fedor too small for HW - then if that is the case why the fu*k is he fighting at HW where he was so dominate - all of sudden this has changed overnight and now he is too small

Then the excuse from Suckmymuscle about Fedor being fat and how that impacts your career - i mean bloody hell talk about stretching here, how is that anybodies fault but Fedor's. Does Anderson Silva or GSP walk around too fat - no they don't because they know they are constantly fighting world class fighter and being in top physical shape is a priority for these fights. If Fedor is too fat then that is his fault - he basically has no training sense or is happy with being fat. If it is impeding performance then cut the fat - this is Fedors fault and shows the mind of a sub-par fighter.
Now lets look at Fedors run - it was good don't get me wrong but who the fu*ck did this guy really fight, so many cans.
The only notable victories have been imo:
1. Ricardo Arona - Fedor's first real competitor. Arona was 2-0 coming into the fight, Fedor beat him in a close fight. Arona went on to win fights against Jeremy Horn 2x, Dan Henderson, Guy Mezger, Ninja Rua, Kazushi Sakuraba, Wanderlei Silva and Alistair Overeem. Arona is legit competition.
2. Renato Sobral - Babalu was 19-2 going into this fight I believe Fedor was an underdog. Babalu went on to great things, fighting for multiple titles, wins over Shogun Rua, Chael Sonnen and Jeremy Horn. legit competition for Fedor at the time.
I mean ffs - this guy is not a heavyweight and even though a tough fighter he could not hang with the big dogs in the UFC.
3. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira - Fedor's toughest fight to date. Nog was coming in with a record of 19-1-1 with wins over Dan Henderson, Mark Coleman, Heath Herring, Gary Goodridge and a hard fought fight with Bob Sapp.
Imo one of the most overrated fighters ever - so slow, basically got by with good Jits and block head. Fedor beat this bum 3 times.
Beat this guy * 3.
4. Mark Coleman - another tough test for Fedor, Coleman was a former UFC HW champion and won the 2000 Pride FC Openweight Tournament.
Beat this guy * 2.
5. Mirko Filipovic - one of Fedor's toughest fights of his career. CC was highly touted, coming in with a 16-2-2 record with 12 of those coming by KO. Fedor pushed the pace constantly in CC's face and won a decision.
Came to UFC in his prime - was exposed as 2nd class fighter by nearly everyone he fought in UFC (and UFC HW is the weakest weight class. Don't give me BS about him getting old because he came to UFC after winning Pride GP.
These are the only half decent opponents Fedor has fought - none of them have enjoyed any success in UFC (the toughest fight org) apart from brief period when Nog had some success in a very very weak UFC HW division and was then subsequently owned by everyone.
I don't even want to go over the rest of Fedors record - they are simply a bunch of bums and no cans. Most of them are not even top 20 or top 50 fighters in the world (i don't even think some of those on his record are top 100).
Fedor was a good fighter who never fought the best - just face facts guys. Japan was full of mismatches and many staged fights, not to mention the rampant performance enhancing drugs the fighters were on.
I was a major Fedor fan until he caused all this shi*t about not joining UFC at the peak of his career - this showed me he was a greedy weak fighter not willing to fight in the best org in the world even though they probably offered him the best contract he had ever seen.
End thread - all you di*cks who spouted Pride was great over and over again got completely exposed.
