What's a common antibiotic prescribed if you get an infection from injecting test? Penicillin can be purchased online, will that do?

All I know is for that type of infection a large gauge needle of penicillin must be injected directly into the head of your penis; hence the "peni" in penicillin.

I tried Google and get no specific answers. I'm particularly interested in what people who have had to deal with this before me have to say. And just because Google says a z-pack or something doesn't mean penicillin, which I can get no script, won't work.

don't be an idiot and try to self medicate. I've seen patients who start popping antibiotics b/c they think they know as much as a trained professional, and then end up with a super infection. Just go see a doctor for a script. You can get penicillin for free at some grocery stores. He will probably prescribe you Bactrim DS, though

For Christ's sake, get medical treatment from doctor,...why risk septicemia or an amputation...

I wasn't sure if I snagged some ugly scar tissue after an inject but it turned out to be a small infection. Injected in my glute and it got a bit sore too (not as sore as my quad).

If the inflammation had kept up I would have went to the doctor to get it checked out. If it's getting inflamed and isn't showing signs of slowing down, just head to the doctor. Don't order antibiotics. If you have them on hand, take them. I had them but don't want to abuse them (ironic statement, eh?). Definitely not something that you want to be liberal about.

Calvepen and flucillin for 5-7 days with paracetemol to stop swelling and if you plan on draining it yourself some aspirin will make it easier as infected injection sites will have mucky as fuck blood
