What an interesting statement.
You making this statement most likely caused many an irony meter to explode, since you generally post only to critique someone else (mostly stalking 333), but bring little substance to any discussion.
But, I'll use a specific just for the heck of it. I was watching Maher have a discussion with someone to which he looked into the camera and said "But this month X jobs were created, isn't that what they (the Republicans) want?" Right on cue the audience started hooting and clapping and they went to the next segment.
Maher's point was a number without context. He failed to mention the other side of the equation - how many jobs were lost. He also failed to mention that "X" jobs represented a number well short of forecast. It was the equivalent of bragging about your baseball team scoring 7 runs, but failing to mention the other team scored 8. The panel member never had a chance to respond.
He does this stuff consistently, or at least every time I've watched him. So that's one example. If you have a decent response, let's hear it. If not, do us all a favor and just shut the fuck up for once.
