You have one of the staunchest right wingers here (333), in this thread, agreeing that military spending needs to be cut.

You're taking isolated media events and conveying  them into what you want to believe it's like here.

But, most of those guys doing there job in the field ARE heroes, regardless.  They don't make policy, but that's off topic and I don't want to discuss it here.

The reason the downgrade was due to interference from the far right to get a budget established sooner rather than at the very last minute.  I don't blame the general group GOP or Democrats but the far right lunatics.  

Standard and Poor warned for months of the credit downgrade in advance if the debt ceiling was not raised.  They inserted themselves into the argument and prevented the GOP from making the original deal that was set up and instead demanded things that simply was not going to fly.  The fact that Boehner's plan was voted down by his own party in the House just shows just how bad the Tea Party.

Radicals, whether they are from the left wing or right wing are the ones who do not have the countries best interest and will drag us to damnation just to win.

The Tea Party got what they wanted and this is the end result.  When you go to the polls this year, vote for common sense.  Vote for people who are willing to compromise for the good of the nation.  Proposing absolutes never get anywhere.

I wasn't asking you for the source, you listed that.   Your chart shows less deficit %s by Obama, 333's post shows the debt increasing under Obama.  The numbers are of different context.

Since you posted it,  I'm asking you to translate the data and explain it.

The graph accounts for the amount of deficit but we certainly did not accumulate all of the debt within a period of 2 years.  Fact being is that you cannot blame the current president for bills that were already there for a war he didn't start or an economic recession that was just beginning.  The only thing he's guilty of is being the loser of the game of "Hot Potato"....

Where did I say you were wrong? I'm saying that you aren't in a position to lecture us. We need to stop spending on our military and we can begin by cutting ties with the Europeans countries in NATO, the majority of which, despite making a commitment to spend 2% of GDP on defense as part of membership, come in well under that. Even with them relying on our military for everything (renting us out for Libya), they're STILL bankrupt.

Sweden is part of the EU, so no, you're not doing "fine". The only thing saving Sweden is the fact that they were smartest enough to stay off the Euro.

The EU is simply a group of countries who have a trading relationship which mean goods and services can pass between the member countries without being affected by import duties etc. Member country citizens can work freely in all member countries. We have a few other trading rules.  That is all the EU is.  Sweden and the UK have been smart enough to retain their own currencies therefore they keep control of the interest rates used in their own countries.

The Euro countries all have to have the same interest rates in place so cannot use interest rate adjustment to make the fiscal changes required by their individual economy. The Euro countries are fucked.  UK and Sweden were smart enough to avoid this. Germany would love to return to the Deutsche Marke.

In your own words, Blacken you posted a graph showing Obama's debt spending decreasing as a % compared to something, but the other chart shows the actual dollars going sky high.  Please explain the correlation.
