What kind of "history" does capitalism have? Honest question, whats the history of true capitalism?
You can't seriously ask this question can you? The U.S. throughout the early 20th century was about as capitalistic as it comes when talking about free markets. We flourished on all levels from manufacturing, education, to science and engineering. Once the government began meddling in these areas through over regulation which caused exportation of American jobs to other countries as well as installing failed institutions such as the Department of Education which caused tremendous increases in tuition and a tremendous loss in quality we began to sink down the toilet. We fell into corporatism where the government services the desires of their own bank accounts over the people.
People have this idea that they don't mind pitching in their fair share but that idea is fatally flawed when the people your pitching your money to put it in their own pockets. You may think it's ok to spend someone else s money, but remember, the government is spending yours. When has the government ever ran a successful program? Medicare, medicaid, social security all the way down to cash for clunkers, all massive complete failures of epic proportions.
