post office gear
« on: August 07, 2011, 01:00:48 PM »
Anyone ever had to go to the post office and sign for gear? I'm in texas so that could explain the sweat on my brow, we are breaking heat records set over thirty years ago. Anyways, would you sign to get your gear? Can they make u open it there?

This board is such a fucking joke.  No one really knows shit and everyone around here acts ilke newbies.

But to answer your question yes you have to sign for gear in several instances especially if it is sent EMS.  Or if it is too big for your box yadda yadda.  Chances are if it's a small order and it made it through customs there is no problem.

Unless they're tracking the package. Of course they will wait for you to sign for it. It proves you wanted it.

Quit breaking the law, kids.

Shit man... I have a buddy who just got his gear the other day and it was CHECKED at customs and had the label on it... They still let it through.

I laughed my ass off when I saw the label.

Makes me wonder how they'd do a bust like that, though.  The cops wouldn't hang out there for days on end, I don't think.  Must be they have the clerk stall the person while the pigs race over upon being called.

Man, I would be pissed at a tool of a clerk who'd go along with that.

I wouldn't worry about him. If they were going to bust him they would have done it at his house and not the post office. I know I have never heard of a bust at a post office. Maybe someone else has.
I have had to sign for everything I have gotten.

I was reading about the Barry Bonds investigation. They would follow Victor Conte's web traffic to see what he posted.

He would go on boards like this and give steroid advice. I would be real careful if I were you guys.

Using the mail for illegal activities SEVERELY worsens the punishment. The govt. does not like people doing illegal shit with the mail.

I understand that but they will not waste their resources and money on someone who buys a half dozen vials a couple times a year. We are talking the everyday gym rat and not a seller or distributor. You know how many seizure letters get sent out each year? I have gotten one myself. All they do is send a letter saying if you want this you have so long to send us a script. They had my name, home address and all. Much easier than going to websites then getting a search warrant and disecting my computer. Not saying it could never happen but the Bonds thing was big time and they were trying to prove a point.

I picked up a package at the post office...I wasn't scared....in fact I actually felt pretty cool standing in line knowing why I was there

I had a small smirk on my face and a false sense of confidence as I stood in line.... felt like a cool, calm, and collect secret agent from a mission impossible movie....life is good 8)
