lol...did he really "curl" 80kg dumbels? I doubt it..
Ive read he was a strong mothrfucker though.
Well, he was strong, may be strongest bodybuilder at the time. His training was all about the heavy weights, drop sets, negatives, forced reps etc. and he didn't spear his powers. I bet there isn't many bodybuilders today who could survive this type of training, it was insane. Try this: load your bench press up to 40lb over your ORM using small plates, 20lb or so. Do at least 5 slow negatives with this, drop two plates(one per side), press to the failure, do at least 5 slow negatives with it, drop two plates etc. until you are pressing slow negatives with empty bar. Then continue your six other chest exercises with same principle, super setting them to two or three combos, and move to the next muscle group. I was spotting him few times, it was true pain all together. When he was planning his comeback, he told in some interview when asked how he think he can be ready for competition in so little time (year), that he can make over 50lb of muscle in six month, that he has done it several times, it was no problem to him. Shortly after that his kidney went trough the roof and the rest is history. It was real shame that there wasn't any youtube or cheap digital recording devices or phone cameras in that time. There is some videos about the training for the comeback and some poor clips about the earlier times which you can find. Most of the other material is in Finnish, so translator would be helpful.
