I think this is a good thing for RP.  Once Bachmann starts to get grilled like Palin did she will buckle and become a laughing stock.  The great Ron Paul will stick to his guns and never deviate from what he has been saying for 30 years.  He just needs to step up on the negative ad campaigns, unfortunately.  I wish he wouldn't have to resort to that but the voters are too stupid to respond to anything else.

Yawn.   ::)  I was actually just doing that the other day.  I created a thread on here a long time ago about how political discourse has gone from right vs. wrong to good vs. evil.  It's an unfortunate part of the process.  

And yes, you or anyone else are free to talk like an unintelligent caveman if you want to, just like I'm free to criticize people for doing so.  That's one of the great things about this country:  you have the right to make a fool of yourself.   :)

Ok.  Whatever you say.  I just look at the actual voting results.  What's really funny is how some fanatics were talking about how the man was dominating online polls during the 2008 cycle, and he didn't do nearly as well on election days. 

I think he'll do better this time around, but anyone looking at the numbers objectively can see there is no way his actual support mirrors some of these online polls.  But we'll find out again when the primary season starts.

BB, newsflash for you, this isn't anything new in American Politics like you seem to think it is.  If anything it's actually toned down from what it was.  It's on message boards now, in the 1800's this stuff, "good vs. evil" was often published.

and her foriegn policy is pretty neocon.  I like some of the stuff she says and does, but it doesn't all of a sudden make her better than Paul.  Paul was also against tarp so I don't know what 3333's point is lol..

The climate has changed.  It's true there has been an element of nastiness in politics throughout our history, but that was the exception, not the rule.  You should read up on the Lincoln/Douglas debates.  There were some personal attacks, but by and large they talked about the issues, and it involved arguably the most controversial issue in American history.  

Things really started to spiral during the Clinton years.  Do you remember the Clinton Chronicles?  A "documentary" accusing Clinton of murdering opponents?   There is an article from about 2000 where a guy (and not some crazy nut) wrote an article claiming Bill Clinton was the Anti-Christ.   ::)

I have definitely seen a trend the past twenty years.

Is this your first primary or did you just forget that this often happens.  Is there some sort of immunity clause for Bachmann lol.

Good luck with that.  

Just to put both Bachmann's and Paul's results in context, Pat Robertson won the Iowa poll years ago.  This poll doesn't indicate who will win, or likely win, the nomination.  But it can end people's campaigns, like Pawlenty.  He needs to quit.
